Your family bike trip in the Netherlands begins in the Province of Zeeland. Meet your trip leaders at the Goes train station and transfer to Veere on the coast of the Veerse Meer lagoon. Enjoy a light lunch and listen to an introduction to the week. Then, get on your bicycle and take an easy ride to Goes, a 12th century village. Arrive at the Hotel Katoen Goes, your hotel for the night. In the evening, dine at the Brasserie Cotton.
Today’s Ride: 26 miles with 300 feet of climbing
Wake up and start with a hearty breakfast. Then, spin through the province of Zeeland on flat and traffic-free bike paths. Arrive in Heinkenszand just in time for lunch. In the afternoon, continue on toward Yerseke, a village famous for its aquaculture and oyster pits. Stroll through the town and discover the Dutch reformed church. Later on, get in the minivan and transfer (1h30) to The Hague and the Hotel des Indes. Before diner, walk through the city to view the Noordeinde Palace, one of the official palaces of the Dutch Royal family.

Today, your cycling vacation in Holland continues through a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Begin the day with a transfer (1h00) to the Windmills at Kinderdijk and start biking. Learn about the 19 windmills and if time permits, visit one of them. Then ride to Gouda, famous for the Gouda cheese. You’re on your own for lunch but feel free to ask your trip leaders for recommendations. In the afternoon, keep cycling all the way to The Hague or join the kids for a visit of the Madurodam, an outdoor miniature park with replicas to 1:25 of famous Dutch landmarks. End the day at the Hotel des Indes and enjoy the rest of the day as you like.

On your fourth day, spin along sand dunes and magnificent woodlands. Ride through Noordwijk and along the beach before arriving in Lisse just in time for lunch on your own. Later, meet your trip leaders and head to the Keukenhof gardens, the world largest flower garden with more than 7 millions flower bulbs. In the afternoon, feel free to keep biking all the way to your next destination or join your kids at an outdoor adventure park with tarzan swings, monkey bars, climbing walls and rope bridges.

Short Option: 22 miles with 400 feet of climbing
Long Option: 43 miles with 1,200 feet of climbing
This morning, get ready for a beautiful bicycle ride through the Sand dunes of the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park. Later, arrive in Alkmaar. Stroll through the street and don’t forget to visit the cheese museum and the Grote or Sint-Laurenskerk, a landmark in town. After lunch, go back the way you came and ride through the spectacular sand dunes on more time. In the evening, celebrate with your newfound friends at a wonderful restaurant.

Your family bicycle tour in Holland ends at the Schiphol Amsterdam Airport.
