Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Mallorca island! Meet your trip leaders in Palma de Mallorca for your first ride on the island

From Alaro to Pollença (20 miles)
Welcome to Palma and Mallorca island! Well, is it Majorca or Mallorca? Ask your trip leaders and let’s see what they say. Anyway, start your bike trip with a transfer from Palma de Mallorca to Alaró for a light lunch and an introduction to the week to come. Then, get fitted on your bicycle and ride toward your hotel, the Son Brull, for your first night on the island of Mallorca.

Day 2: Transfer to Puerto Pollensa and ride to Cap de Formentor before lunch in Port de Pollenca

From Pollença to Pollença (33 miles)
Your destination today is the Cap de Formentor, know as the meeting point of the winds. Shuttle to Puerto Pollensa and cycle through the Formentor Peninsula. Once you’ve reached the Cap de Formentor lighthouse, take a break before cycling back to Port de Pollenca for lunch. In the afternoon, cycle inland or head back directly to your hotel for a relaxing time by the pool.

Day 3: Cycle through the Serra de Tramuntana and at the foot of the Puig Major

From Pollença to Deià (36 miles)
Take a self guided walk through the garden of your hotel before breakfast. Then, start cycling through the Serra de Tramuntana also referred as the Sierra de Tramuntana. This morning is uphill all the way to lunch. However, you may take a break at the Lluc Monastery also called the Lluc Sanctuary before arriving at the foot of the Puig Major for lunch. In the afternoon, keep cycling uphill for a few miles prior to riding the Puig Major climb downhill. Later in the day, bike through the Soller valley and arrive in Soller where you may jump in the minivan cycle all the way to your hotel. Dinner this evening is on your own in the town of Deià but don’t forget to take a self-guided tour of the town, before or after your supper, as it is well worth it.

Day 4: Cycle a scenic route through traditional villages and taste Mallorca wine

From Deià to Calvía (29 miles)
Today’s route takes you cycling along the coast and through the small villages of Valldemossa, Son Ferrandell and Esporles. Your route plan then leads you to the Castell Son Claret, your hotel located a few minutes away from the village of Calvia. Later, ride in our minivan through the Mallorca vineyards on your way to the Bodegas Santa Catarina for a tasting of Mallorca wine.

Day 5: Follow your tour guide along the Port des Canonge

From Calvía to Calvía (38 miles)
Leave your hotel and head onto a loop ride that takes you along the coast. Follow your tour guide as you start cycling to Andratx before reaching the coast. Cycle through the village of Estellencs, all the way to Banyalbufar, a town with terraced gardens overlooking the Mediterranean Sea as well as a lovely hidden cove, the Cala Banyalbufar. It’s one of many in the area with the Port des Canonge and Cala deja. In the afternoon, bike back to your hotel but before returning to your room, give your tour guides the cycling gear and equipment you borrowed from DIGnGO.

Day 6: End your trip to Majorca today or stay a few more days in Playa de Palma

End of the trip
Your trip to Majorca ends in the town of Palma. However, if you wish to stay a few more days on the island of Majorca, you may look for a hotel on the Playa de Palma as this an area of town with lots of restaurants, bars and the beautiful Playa de Palma beach.

*Please note that the mileage indicated above refers to the basic route, which is the one that 85% of our guests ride. However, we offer multiple daily routes and you may read more about it in the Activity level section below or by clicking the detailed itinerary button above.
