Details of our easy Dolomites bike tours

Day 1: Meet in Bolzano and cycle through the South Tyrol to Corvara

From Selva di Val Gardena to Corvara in Badia (12 miles)
Benvenuto in the largest city in South Tyrol, the town of Bolzano. Meet your trip leaders at the Bolzano Bozen train station and transfer to the heart of the Sudtirol in the Italian Alps. For your first ride of week, cycle through the Alta Badia on your way to Corvara, located at the foot of the Sassongher mountain.

Day 2: Shuttle to the Passo Gardena before a long descent down the mountain and a ride to the Passo Campolongo

From Corvara in Badia to Corvara in Badia (20 miles)
Start the day with a short minivan transfer. Just after breakfast, your trip leader drives you to the top of the Passo Gardena, before reaching the Sella Pass, which is where you start your ride. It is one of the most beautiful rides of the week as you enjoy a long descent cycling down the Passo Pordoi.  On the way, you may see other cyclists touring the Sella Ronda with mountain bikes. Thanks to many lifts carrying bikes and the technical single tracks make this area a dream come true for many mountain bikers. Lunch is served in the town of Arabba. From there, you may choose to either go back to your hotel climbing the Passo Campolongo and enjoy some downtime or cycle all the way to Cernadoi for some additional mileage. In the evening join us for a tour of the hotel’s wine cellars.

Day 3: Enjoy a few more climbs and switchbacks

From Corvara in Badia to St Magdalena (25 miles)
If you don’t like hairpin bends, the good news is that there won’t be to many switchbacks today. This morning, you leave Corvara in Badia and transfer to the Puster valley. In addition to being an area free from turns and passes, it is almost free from climbs. You won’t be climbing any mountain passes or tackling any challenging climbs.

Day 4: Ride on a famous bike path known from many cyclists

From Dobbiaco to Lienz ( 30 miles)
Since the beginning of the week, you’ve mostly been cycling down famous mountain passes. Today is entirely different, you cycle on a bicycle path called the Drau cycle path. The biking is very easy and cyclists of all levels love the ride. In the evening, arrive at your hotel, the Grand Hotel Lienz, followed by dinner on your own in the old town.

Day 5: Ride a nice route at the foot of the Grossglockner

From Lienz to Lienz (35 miles)
Today, your route isn’t the shortest route of the week but there is nothing to worry about. Take a route from Lienz to Matrei as you pedal along the Isle river and at the foot of the Grossglockner, the highest mountain in Austria. During lunch in Matrei, enjoy the views on the Castle Weißenstein, overlooking the town.

Day 6: End your week through the Dolomites mountain with a transfer to Venice

End of the trip
Cycling through mountain and hills is coming to an end. It has now been 6 days and the Dolomites mountains probably don’t have any more secrets for you. This morning, transfer to Venice. You may stay a few more days in town as it is a great location if you wish to explore the Venezia region.

*Please note that the mileage indicated above refers to the basic route, which is the one that 85% of our guests ride. However, we offer multiple daily routes and you may read more about it in the Activity level section below or by clicking the detailed itinerary button above.
