Our cycle tour in Switzerland itinerary

1. Cycling starts today

From Chateau d’Oex to Gstaad (15 miles)
Today, cycling takes you away from the shores of Lake Geneva in in the hear of the Regional Park Gruyère Pays-d’Enhaut. Biking starts in Château-d’Œx before arriving in Gstaad in the afternoon.

2. Cycle a nice route

From Gstaad to Villars-sur-Ollon (24 miles)
Today, the route feels like a stage of the Tour de Suisse. It is a challenging ride up the Col du Pillon, a mountain pass located at 5072 feet and at the foot of Glacier 3000. The route ends in villars-sur-OIlon for some downtime by the pool of your hotel.

3. Ride though spectacular scenery

From Villars-sur-Ollon to Villars-sur-Ollon (13 miles)
The ride features amazing scenery. It has been designed for cyclists of all ability to enjoy the wonderful countryside as it leads cyclists on easy mountain bike trails.

4. A bicycle tour on the banks of Lake Thun

From Gunten to Grindelwald (28 miles)
The day’s bicycle tour takes bike riders on the beautiful banks of Lake Thun. It leads you from the lake to Grindelwald, a town in the Bernese Oberland and at the foot of some of highest mountains in Europe. This cycle tour is definitely one you shouldn’t miss.

5. Pedal along a nice bike path

From Grindelwald to Lauterbrunnen (22 miles)
Today, a bike path leads cyclists through the spectacular Lauterbrunnen Valley. It winds through the majestic terrain. The cycling path ends at the Trümmelbach falls, the largest subterranean water falls in Europe which carries the water of the melting glaciers above.

6. The trip ends in Interlaken

End of the trip
Your trip has been a wonderful cycling adventure but everything has to come to an end. After breakfast, it ends in the town of Interlaken. Another tour may be on your list for next year so we look forward to welcoming you again in the future.

How to get to the starting location

  • Buy your flight(s) to Geneva
  • Buy your train ticket(s) from Geneva to Montreux on www.raileurope.com
  • Make sure to check online for any timetable changes or railway company track maintenance
