Details of our Croatia bike tours

Day 1: Meet your trip leaders in Split and transfer to your first island in Dalmatia, Hvar

From Stari Grad to Hvar (14 miles)
Welcome to Split, Croatia! Start the week by meeting your trip leaders on the Dalmatian coast in the Croatian city of Split. Then, transfer by boat to one of the most famous Dalmatian islands, Hvar island. Enjoy a light lunch and a brief introduction to your Dalmatian coast itinerary before your first bike ride to Hvar town. In the evening, take the time to visit Hvar before dinner at a local restaurant and your first night in the Dalmatia region.

Day 2: Sea kayaking around the island of Hvar and swimming in the Adriatic Sea

From Stomorska to Maslinica (16 miles)
Enjoy a nice breakfast on the terrace of your hotel before meeting a local guide to go sea kayaking in the Adriatic. Your guide takes you near Pakleni Islands and you may take a time to swim in the Adriatic Sea before going back to the island of Hvar for lunch. In the afternoon, go for a quick visit of Hvar cathedral as a boat transfer is plan at 2.00 PM. The Adriatic region is vast and we have a few islands to visit so timing is important. Don’t worry, your leaders take care of everything and the rest of the day is a nice bike ride on the island of Solta.

Day 3: Transfer to Brac island and cycle through its vineyards

From Milna to Bol (34 miles)
Today you explore another island and getting to Brac island is once again done with a boat transfer. Arrive in the town of Milna and get on your bike for a ride through vineyards and vines. It might come as a surprise but Brac island is pretty famous for its tasty wines and spectacular vineyards. Later that morning, arrive in Brac, the main town on the island. After lunch you have the time to enjoy the most popular beach in Brac before another boat transfer to the island of Korcula.

Day 4: Cycle on a beautiful island a enjoy a wine tasting

From Vela Luka to Vela Luka (32 miles)
Your ride for the day is a nice cycling loop around the beautiful island of Korcula. Cycle along the coast and reach the town of Smokvica for a wine tasting. The wine degustation is lead by the young owner. Now that you have an all new appreciation of wine, you cycle back to your hotel and the town of Vela Luka. Get a good night sleep to be ready for another ride through the most beautiful island in Croatia.

Day 5: Bike to Korcula, the town of Marco Polo

From Smokvica to Korčula (18 miles)
Today’s itinerary takes you to Korcula, the town where Marco Polo is reputed to have been born. Ride your bicycle through the island of Korcula and arrive in Korcula town for lunch. Go for a self-guided tour of the town center and what is said to be Marco Polo’s house in Korcula. Following lunch, pack your cycling gear and cycling shoes in your bags and transfer to Dubrovnik in our minivan. Cycling might be over for the week but there is plenty more to do in Dubrovnik.

Day 6: End your trip in Dubrovnik or stay a few more days and visit the Peljesac Peninsula

End of the trip
After breakfast, your trip ends in Dubrovnik. However, you may wish to stay a few more days in the region. No problem, the City of Dubrovnik is a great place to visit. The Peljesac Peninsula is easily accessible. You may also take a self-guided tour through the walled city of Dubrovnik or go for a visit of the Peljesac vineyards.

*The mileage refers to the basic cycling route, which is the one that 85% of our guests ride. However, we offer multiple daily bicycling routes. You may read more about those biking routes in the activity level section below or by clicking the detailed itinerary button above.
