Each state/country has it's own laws on how much wine is allowed, but most airports let you carry 2 bottles per/person. The average mileage on your tours?
Most of our tours are rated as easy to moderate, some easy and some are a little more challenging. On average we ride 20 to 30 miles a day (25 to 40 km) which equals to about 4 to 5 hours of pedaling each day. However, we take several breaks along the way, from chateaux, to wine tasting and more... making it easy and enjoyable for everyone looking to discover a region from a bike seat.
I am very fit and was wondering if the different tours you offer on your website will be challenging enough for me?
For very fit riders, our guides always have additional scenic routes that they can recommend. Just ask. If you are looking for something a little more challenging, check out our Tuscany bike tours.
What are the cycling roads like?
Main roads in not in our vacabulary! Each day you cycle on small well-paved village roads, vineyard paths and designated cycling routes. What type of weather can I expect?
In the summer months in France (May thru October) the weather is great for cycling, you have fresh mornings and evenings, and warm and dry days with an occasional brief shower. Should I bring my own helmet and / or pedals? If you have one you can, otherwise don’t worry we have brand new helmets of all sizes available for you. Our bikes come with double sided SDP pedals (one side for standard shoes and one side for bike shoes) but if you have your own feel free to bring and we will install them on the bike for you.
Should I bring my own bike?
You do not have to, we have high end brand new hybrid bikes for you but if you wish to bring your bike, you can do so. Please contact us for shipment if needed. Please keep in mind that Digngo cannot assume responsibility for the safety or damage to your bike. You are responsible for providing any spare parts that may be used during the tour and as well as for assembling your bike upon arrival and disassembling it upon departure.
Can I get an electric bike ?
Our routes are designed for the average biker that works out once and a while, no Lance Armstrong ! but if you still feel that biking 20 miles a day on rolling hill terrain is too much but would really like to come and discover France or Tuscany and join your husband or wife on one of our bike tours, we will be glad to find an electric bike for you. (additional cost may apply)
Do you offer support along the way?
Yes, there is a minivan that goes back and forth along each day’s route, offering refreshments, and giving you a lift if needed. You shouldn’t come expecting to ride in the minivan, but never hesitate to use it when you have had enough for the day.
Can you provide me with references of recent guests that have travelled with DIGnGO ?
Our team will be glad to give you the names, email and number of guests that have recently travelled with us. Just email us or call our office at 1.888.883.7948
