This Tuscany cycle trip starts in Montepulciano and goes to Pienza, where along the way you will visit the villages that have made Tuscany famous. The hilly terrain makes this tour somewhat challenging!
Day-By-Day Highlights
"Benvenuto" in Tuscany. From the Firenze train station your guides take you to Montepulciano and toast your arrival with a traditional Proseco.
The first bike ride of the week is to the town of Montefollonico a beautiful little town from which you are able to enjoy the Chiana valley (also named val di Chiana) as well as Montepulciano your home for the next 2 nights also the home of the Vino Nobil Meet with a fourth generation vinter to taste the region's claim to fame vino nobile.
Discover Pienza, renowned for pecorino cheese, beautiful ceramics and Renaissance architecture. In Pienza, sample delicious pecorino (sheep’s milk) cheese. Pope Pius II, made it a project to turn his hometown into the ideal Renaissance city. The result is often described as the most beautiful village in Tuscany.
Leaving Pienza, you feel like youʼre riding through a movie set and you won't be far from it as you ride close to the monastery of Santʼ Anna in Camprena and the villages of Castelmuzio and Petroio on cypress-lined roads.
Bike through olive groves, gorgeous farmland and past hillside towns to Casabianca. On the way and along the gorgeous roads that make tuscany so famous your guides organize a Gourmet Picnic complete with Tomatoes & Mozarella, Tuscan Bruschetta, Percorino cheese and Prosciutto.
In the evening dine on regional specialties in the tuscan estate elegant dining room.
Ride through the dramatic Crete Senese also one of italy most dramatic regions. Sienese hills are made distinctive by the dramatic clays soil and interspersed with some of the most stunning views in Tuscany.
From your hotel located just 5 minutes outside of town we shuttle to Siena where you enjoy a guided walking tour through the town with an art historian.
Today you and your fellow cycling companions leave the southern part of the region behind and venture into a Tuscan treasure, an area long revered for its enduring and timeless wine - Chianti Classico.
Pedal through some of Chianti’s most beloved towns, such as Gaiole, Radda and Castellina. In the evening meet with one of our friends and Indulge in a private tasting of Chianti’s best wines.
This morning and after a final breakfast together at the hotel il Borgo di Vescine, your trip leaders drive you to the Florence train station at around 12 PM.
From there you have the choice to either take the train back to Rome and fly back home after a memorable week in Tuscany, or you may choose to stay some more time in Italy and do some more sightseeing.

Il Borgo di Vèscine, one of the most fascinating hotel in the chianti valley is a 13th-century hamlet of Etruscan origins in great harmony with the surrounding countryside. Situated in the heart of the chianti Classico Gallo Nero Territory.
