Normandy Bike Tours

Meet your Digngo guides in Front of the Caen train station. Shuttle to the chateau de Fontaine Henry for a welcome drink and bike fitting session. Head on the route des moulins (windmill routes) on your way to Arromanches.

Discover the remains of one of the artificial ports constructed to aid in the D-Day invasion just outside of Arromanches. To add yo your understand of local history you get to visit the war museum depicting the scenes and stories of the D-day landing. End the day at your hotel the luxurious chateau la Cheneviere.

Todays ride heads to the american sector of the invasion and omaha beach where more than 3000 soldiers died within hours.

Tour Omaha Beach with a local historian and guide, visit the American Military Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer and walk amid the shattered bunkers of the old German stronghold, Pointe du Hoc.

Lunch is served along the way but we won't tell you more until then.

Discover the beautifully preserved town of Bayeux, its cathedral (worth a visit) and view the 11th-century Bayeux Tapestry that tell the tale of William the conqueror. Meet with a local cider maker and try some of its family apple cider.

Tonightʼs dinner is on your own. You may choose to admire the evening sun as it sets over Bayeuxʼs cathedral or head for a seaside dinner in Port-en-Bessin.

This evening make yourself at home as you are invited to dine in the residence dinning room (if the owners are available that evening you will even get a chance to dine with them).

Climb the narrow walkway to the majestic island monastery of Mont-St-Michel and roam within the hallowed walls of the iconic pilgrimage site.

Later in the afternoon continue riding along the beach to your final destination for the day, the famous fishing village of Cancale (Brittany) for an overnight stay at an acclaimed gourmet retreat. Tonightʼs hotel, the Château Richeux.

This morning and after a final breakfast together at the hotel Chateau Richeux, your trip leaders drive you to the Rennes train station at around 12 PM.

From there you have the choice to either take the train back to Paris and fly back home after a memorable week in Normandy, or you may choose to stay some more time in France and do some more sightseeing.

Chateau La Chenevière (2 nights) is an 18th century château situated between Omaha Beach, where the American forces landed on D-Day 1944, and the historic town of Bayeux.

There are only 20 rooms, decorated in a harmony of floral designs. Every room offers a view of the garden and the historic furniture adds the extra fine touches for the ultimate comfort and charm.

The Chateau Richeux (2 nights), dating back to the 1920's is a comfortable villa overlooking the bay of Mont-St-Michel. Each rooms encourages, rest, refreshment and meditation.
