The region of Alsace is located between the vosges mountains (France), Germany and Switzerland. Due to its location, Alsace is rich in traditions and is a combination of culture and therefore charm. It is mainly famous for its architecture, gastronomy and Christmas markets, where during our tours in the winter season you will find one of a kind gift for everyone on your Christmas list.
During our Alsace bike tours, you will try some delicacies such as the " tartes flambee the Baeckeoffe, the " choucroute" and the " kouglof". You will also try typical wines such as the "Riesling" and the "Gewurtzraminer".
Coming on one of our cycling trips in Alsace is a visit back in time, where you get a chance to enjoy the rich historical and cultural heritage of this region. Don't miss the beautiful town of Colmar with its medieval architecture and fairytale houses (beautifully decorated during the winter) as well as the town of Strasbourg with its majestic cathedral.
Day-By-Day Highlights

Discover Kayserberg a town loacated at the foot of the Vosges Mountains. The town brilliantly managed to maintain its rich historical heritage.
Head on an easy bike ride to Riquewirh, a picture perfect jewel, with its multi-colored flowers, half timbered houses and cobblestone streets. The town has miraculously and beautifully survived 5 centuries of warfare. Meet for a wine tasting at the famous wine house Hugel & Fils where you get to try world class rieslings and gewurtztraminers.
 Head to Ribeauville a charming 13th century town with its narrow streets, many Renaissance fountains, stunning Gothic churches including the Church of the Augustines Convent. Enjoy a wonderful lunch in the heart of town at one of the numerous wintsub (Alsatian restaurant). Dinner is at a 3 star Michelin restaurant, Auberge de lʼill also one of France most acclaimed restaurant.
 Tackle the demanding climb to the chateau of Haut-Koenigsbourg. The route features a challenging winding climb but once there you have incredible views on the wine route. Meet with a local friend for a wine tasting of some of Alsace most famous wines including Gevustraminer before taking an easy and relaxing ride back to your hotel. Tour the town of Colmar, enjoy its multicolor roof tiles, arches bridges & taste the dishes that make the Alsatian gastronomy famous: Bibeleskas, "tartes Flambees", Beackeoff & the well known "choucroute".
 Cycle through many characteristic wine villages with manicured vineyards and lovely farmhouses filled with colorful geraniums such as the fortified villages of Berghe and Dambach-la-Ville famous for its ancient stones and half-timbered buildings. In the afternoon arrive in Obernai, a town that has history dating back to the 7th century, also the traditional seat of the Dukes of Alsace.
 Go through the village of Rosheim, famous for its 12th century Roman church (carved out of pink sandstone) and Ottrott, famous for its red wine the “Ottrott Rouge". Enjoy a guided walking tour of Strasbourg and discover the "Petite France" also considered the “Venice of the north“ with its canals, charming cobblestone narrow streets and half-timbered house.
This morning and after a final breakfast together at the hotel le Parc, your trip leaders drive you to the Strasbourg train station at around 12 PM.
From there you have the choice to either take the train back to Paris and fly back home after a memorable week in Alsace, or you may choose to stay some more time in France and do some more sightseeing.
